What is it that makes writing, especially creative writing, such a popular and oft pursued craft? I know I've been writing and developing my style since I was 12 or 14 and it's something I was never able to put aside for long. As long as I can remember, I have written something - poetry, short stories, drabbles, and almost anything in between.
Have you ever felt as if the characters in your stories want to be written about? That they loom over your shoulder and nudge you insistently, especially if you have 'ignored' them for a while? I know I do. My muses, my characters are rarely quiescent, rarely silent. I am truly curious what other writers experience in regards to their characters and the stories they write.
